She graduated from Istanbul-born, medium and high school at Sainte Pulcherie and Saint Benoit French Girls High School. She graduated from Istanbul University Psychology Department in 1989 and received her Master of Psychosocial Oncology at the Institute of Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Istanbul Medicine. Between 1991 and 1993, she worked as Research Fellow at the Institute of Oncology at the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and conducted clinical and academic studies at the international level in psychological support and compliance to cancer patients

Biography

She graduated from Istanbul-born, medium and high school at Sainte Pulcherie and Saint Benoit French Girls High School. She graduated from Istanbul University Psychology Department in 1989 and received her Master of Psychosocial Oncology at the Institute of Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Istanbul Medicine. Between 1991 and 1993, she worked as Research Fellow at the Institute of Oncology at the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and conducted clinical and academic studies at the international level in psychological support and compliance to cancer patients.

She worked as a clinical associate at the University of Manchester Christies’ Hospital in 1991. She went to University de Bruxelles Belgium for PhD study, but also worked as an expert psychologist at the Department de Psychosocial Oncology department, located in the Institut Jules Bordet. During this time, the New York Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital, which led the development of Psychooncology in the world, took a 6-month scholarship from the Psychooncology department and continued his clinical and academic studies. During her clinical studies, he learned Psychodrama, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Life Coaching methods within the framework of various courses and training seminars.

Erbil, who has returned to Turkey since 2010 and worked as Consultant at Anatolu Health Center Medical Oncology Institute. Dr. Pelin Erbil is also a lecturer at the University of May 29.
